THE YELLOWKNIFE GUILD OF ARTS AND CRAFTS...

The Yellowknife Guild of Arts and Crafts is a society composed of volunteer artists, artisans, students and instructors passionate about learning and sharing art and craft skills in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

The mandate of the Guild is to provide community education in arts and crafts through operation of a workshop facility, course instruction, public demonstrations and exhibitions, educational presentations, and provision of specialized workshops.

CLASSES/WORKSHOPS

Classes and workshops taught by experienced local instructors offer members the opportunity to learn and develop skills in a various arts and crafts.

PUBLIC EVENTS


Public events hosted by the Guild include our annual ice cream bowl sale, slideshows by visiting artists, ornament decorating workshops, and craft supply swaps.

ARTS/CRAFTS SALES

Arts and crafts made by Guild members are available at our very popular spring and Christmas sales.  Find pottery, weaving, knitting, felting and more!  

FIREWEED STUDIO

Throughout the summer months, the Guild operates an arts and crafts shop in Fireweed Studio on Saturday afternoons and on Tuesday evenings during the Yellowknife Farmers Market.

STUDIO SPACE

Well-equipped studios for both pottery and mixed media provide space for classes, workshops and open studio sessions.

VISITING ARTISTS

The Guild periodically hosts multi-day visiting artist workshops to help members develop specialized skills and to gain inspiration for new directions in their art.
