Handbuilding for Kids (Private Class with Janice Lee) (August 16, 2026)

This 2-session class will introduce kids to the joy of creating with clay. Participants will make a little pinch pot dish set during the first session and then let the pieces dry for 2 weeks. Participants will paint their pieces with underglazes during the second session.

Pieces will then be finished, glazed, and fired by the instructor and will be available for pick up in September.

Instructor: Janice Lee

Prerequisites: Current child membership. Students must be between the ages of 5 to 15 years old. No prior experience necessary.

Cost: $65 (includes annual child membership valid until August 31, 2027)

Pottery Studio Orientation (August 30, 2026)

Mandatory pottery studio orientation is required for all new and former studio potters requesting access to the pottery studio during scheduled open studio or full studio hours. The purpose of this orientation is to review Guild operations to ensure that potters are able to safely use the studio without supervision and are aware of the roles and responsibilities of studio potters such as clean-up and volunteer duties. All potters approved for scheduled open studio or full studio access must complete an orientation session before commencing studio access.

Instructor: Janet Diveky

Prerequisites: Approval from pottery representative for scheduled open studio access following completion of Guild pottery class or assessment of prior pottery studio experience. Age 16 or older. Adult full membership.

Cost: Free for approved scheduled open studio and full studio potters. All other registrations will be cancelled.
